We believe that sustainability is a journey and we are very intentional in our decisions to maintain product quality while reducing our impact on the environment. We are working hard to eliminate plastics and use recyclable, compostable materials for our packaging. We have measured our carbon footprint and doubled that in offsets. We use fair trade cocoa and ethically sourced ingredients.

Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates is a 100% organic, vegan, and kosher facility. We do not use any animal products—even our sugar is bone-char free. Our products are GMO-free and also do not contain dairy, corn, or gluten. However, ingredient suppliers may share equipment that result in trace amounts of dairy protein.
Yes, many of our products do not contain tree nuts or legumes. However, we are a facility that processes almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, peanuts, and coconuts. Although we do our best to mitigate contamination, we do share equipment and cannot guarantee that products without nuts and legumes are completely allergen free. If you have a severe allergy, please refrain from enjoying our Sjaakolates.
Eli’s Earth bars were named after Jacques’ oldest grandson. These bars are a vegan and organic alternative to other candy bars and encourage us to Celebrate the little things, Treasure every moment, and to always Dream Big. 5% of proceeds benefit local children’s non-profits.
Because our products are vegan, we do not use dairy and therefore do not have milk chocolate. Our melk® chocolate is a smooth and creamy alternative made with brown rice instead of dairy milk.
Our chocolates will have a best by date imprinted on the label for 10-12 months from the date of production. However, chocolate does not expire the way that meat or produce will. Chocolate can bloom if subjected to fluctuations in heat and temperature. Please store your Sjaakolates in a cool, dry place to maintain its best condition.

Yes! We currently are only shipping to Canada and do not have any control over Canadian import fees. Shipping times do take longer and we recommend iceboxes and expedited shipping to ensure that your Sjaakolate arrives in the best condition.
We highly recommend ice packs during the summer months, or when your package is being shipped to or through an area over 70 degrees. We cannot control the conditions that your package is subjected to on its journey to your door, but do not want your Sjaakolates to arrive melted.
